MY STORY

Glass Artist

Welcome!

My glass journey began from a love of light shining through glass. A childhood memory from my grade 3 teacher, Miss Hall who grew plants in wine bottles on the window sill of the classroom.

Fast forward more than a few decades, I finally picked up a glass cutter and began lead lighting. I have made windows for homes, cabinet doors and restored front entry panels from the early 1900s.

Leadlights made well will last many decades and bring a home to life. I also started to create in the copper foil method and soon after began teaching.

Glass is amazing, it reflects and shines and changes throughout the day as the light moves. In recent years I began playing with kilns and have found a love of melting glass. This is where I create both art pieces and usable, functionable works.

In addition, lampworked beadmaking has also been added to my glass journey and you will find some of this work in my jewellery and giftware range.

I teach leadlight and copper foiling from my home studio located in the beautiful Scenic Rim, Queensland.
